Thumbs down who would want one of those and why?

I don't understand why one would be interested in a freeloader.
(recap:a freeloader is a boot disc which allows one to play a GC game from any region) From what I have seen of the Japanese library of GC games we are getting it, already got it, or it is not worth playing. The PAL gamers I guess would bring up Animal Crossing. I don't understand why a Harvest Moon clone is more popular than the real deal so I therefore can't understand why they would want to import it.

In the future it might be nice to have but not right now.

+ the benefit of being able to play games which aren't being released in Europe.

And what Samor said is true ; you guys say RE0 is an old game and we still have to wait for it (Release : 07/03/03).

What games aren't coming to Europe which are worth playing? Animal Crossing is automatically excluded since it isn't worth playing.

None at the moment (at least not that I'm aware of) but I see this happening in the future , like it happened with the SNEs in the past.

Samor has a point. Eg Final Fanatsy 4 only got an offical european release in 2002, a decade after the US.

It doesn't make them newer because they would be new to Europeans in the first place.

So which snes games are being released new in Europe? =P

Not new but snes games like Megaman X3 , Super Mario RPG etc where never released here , thus we never had an actual chance to play them , thus the Freeloader is a blessing in some way.

The same thing happens on other consoles too. I fully expect , at the end of the GC's life, there to be a hoarde of games never released in europe, and almost as many never released in the west. As a European, I can say that I'm ****ing pissed off by games companies treatment of us, giving us game 6 months or more down the line from the US, and blaming it on 'translation issues'. IT'S ALREADY IN FREAKING ENGLIUSH YOU TWATS!!!! HOW STUPID DO YOU THINK WE ARE?

Well there are also the French, Germans and Spanish who don't understand or don't have sufficient mastery of English to play NTSC-US games that are simply converted to PAL.

Yes, but that doesn't stop them releasing the English version, then later releasing the various translations.

I think they would prefer a simultaneous European launch in all Euro countries rather than a separate country-by-country launch. That would be too expensive.

And that's probably why you should all vote to make a "United States of Europe" and make English as the official language.

...Japanese wouldn't be too bad either.

I wouldn't mind living in the good old US of E , that doesn't sound quite right IMO though but we already have something like that Shiori it's called the EU (European Union) but we still don't have an official language in the EU but I'm sure we will eventually

The single currency is the step towards it. All members of the EU are subject to it's law, but each country is free to pass it's own laws, as long as they don't countermand EU regulations.
I think a single language is not yet on the cards, but it will someday happen.
However a lot of the people in power feel some resentment towards the English and so.....

They should put their biased feelings aside and make English the official language. I'm not saying English should be the official language because it's my first, I'm saying it because it's the most spoken language in the world.

Most widely spoken, not most spoken. I agree though.
