uhm. I thought that usually was a reason to play sequels; because you finished the previous one.

i agree with Samoor.theres no need to play substance once you have played mgs2,its the same.
BTW:why is there a picture of HWOARANG in your signature when you say you are SOLID SNAKE.

oh wait, I misunderstood I think.
I meant that if you played MGS1 I think you'd like to play MGS2 as well, but indeed, if you've already played MGS2 then substance isnt that much extra I guess.

The greatest thing about MGS2 was its gameplay.

VR missions are good enough. Secondly, you can play as Snake full time. I may not buy a new one, I'll exchange it for my SOL DVD

Fawad, I hate to burst your bubble but you CAN'T play as Snake full time in the game. Instead, theres a thing called "Snake Tales" that lets you play through certain "mini-missions" some take place during Raiden's missions, some are back on the tanker and one involves Meryll The only problem with these Snake Tales is the fact that there is absolutely NO cutscenes, instead you have to read through page upon page of text. Snake Tales aren't all that entertaining when it all comes down to it. But the VR Missions make Substance well worth the purchase, even if you own the original MGS2.

I can't wait either, as I have neither a PS2 nor an XBOX, I've been waiting for the day to finally come for a long time (especially after I played SOL at a friend's house). I'll probably go out the weekend after the release and pick up Substance and Splinter Cell.

I played the splinter cell demo, and I like it but it's nothing like MGS IMO. They're both games focused on stealth, but I think the similarity ends there.

I kinda know that.Still I don't mind playing as Raiden as well. Snake treats him just as he should be treated.
