Etherlords for PC: Anyone have it?

i bought it, but i can't even beat the first level. gamefaqs has one guide on it. anyone think they can help me play this unpopular game (that probably nobody has, which will leave this thread to never having another post. i'm not very optimistic

...well, I -do- have it, but I've only played it once !! ...It's not that I didn't like it, but at the time I got it, I was extremely short in HD space so I played for a day, then uninstalled it until I could buy some extra CDs to backup some of my HD stuff...

Unfortunately, I rever actually re-installed it, although it was a pretty nice game. I remember I was able to explore/conquer about half the map, before I uninstalled it... it wasn't that hard, and I even didn't read much from the manual (lack of time, as usual

)
...its definately not your average strategy game, though. You should "invest" some more time playing it to get the hang of it, and to see some actual progress. Don't expect this to be the "quick fix" type, like those RTS games.

...anyway, I'm just posting this just to let you know that you're not alone... at least -one- more person owns this game

I have the game, geez, got it a long time ago. Beat the first few levels (maps) until you get to be a few of the other races. The battle were really cool, and conquering the maps was cool, but I'm not one for CREATING card decks and the like. Was never into Magic or those games. And this game is basically Magic for PC.

Sorry I can't really help, I guess just keep trying and make sure you get all the resource pools and get the better cards from the card shops. Also, try and battle only one dude at a time. That way, if you barely make it out of a battle alive, you don't have to fight another right after it.

well the problem is theres a lvl 6 guy in the first campaign who attacks me after a couple turns. by that point i'm only lvl 3. i'm amazed that they'd make the first campaign mission so hard.
