Question Zelda GC EBGames pre-order deal?

I've stumble upon a pre-order thing on ebgames.com about when pre-ordering Zelda GC, you two other Zelda classics on one GC disc of N64's OoT and an updated version of OoT. Anyone care to elaborate more about this? Would GC version of OoT be any better than the N64 counterpart?

Where the hell have you been? The bonus disk contains OOT and what was to be Master Quest, an addon for OOT to be used with the 64DD addon that only sold like 10 units total.

Oh, they are definitely improved, but its not like they are anywhere close to what the Tech Demo ( or even SSBM) display. Its mostly just improved texturing and lighting effects, as well as some environmental effects (like clouds and haze and stuff). The models don't look that much better or anything. But hey, its three games for the price of one, what is there to complain about?

I dont think it would be fair if we have to pay for them instead of getting them like it was supossed to be.

Correction Nameless it is going to be available to the Japanese and Pal versions as well but only if you preorder it. I'll look up the exact link later and post it.

This is a quote from a post way back by myself this is for Europe

The new Zelda for NGC shceduled for release on 13 December in Japan will have an extra disc containing Zelda OoT and Ura Zelda , but only ppl who have preorderd it will get it.

You must be thinking that's old news and that's true but here is some lovely info for us European Gamers.

Sources close to Nintendo have announced that the disc will also be released in Europe (As for US , they didn't say but it is most likely) but there is one downside to this otherwise nice news , unlike the Japanese ppl we will have to pay for the disc.

I can't understand why we should pay for it and the Japanese ppl don't. Doesn't Nintendo like Europe or something ?

But seriously I don't mind if I had to pay for it (just as long as it isn't charged as a normal GC game that is). I just loved Zelda OoT and Ura Zelda should feature some things not seen in Zelda OoT , like a new temple/area to discover.

This is a quote from a post way back by myself this is for the US

TIME-HONORED ZELDA SERIES GETS LEGENDARY PRE-SALE OFFER IN THE UNITED STATES

Consumers Pressure For Pre-Sell Program For Two Hot Zelda Properties

REDMOND, Wash., Dec. 17, 2002 –The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is set to launch for Nintendo GameCube on March 24, 2003. But in North America, consumers already are pushing for an early pre-sell effort so they can be guaranteed a copy of the game.

Starting Feb. 16, 2003, Nintendo fans can get a double-hit of Zelda. When a customer places a deposit for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker at a participating retailer, they'll receive a special, limited-edition playable disk featuring two games: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest - an updated version of the game which was never released outside of Japan.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. in Japan introduced a similar pre-sell program last month. Nearly 500 consumers called Nintendo's North American consumer service line asking for the same program here.

"We were surprised consumers tracked the program in Japan and were begging us to do it here," explains Peter MacDougall, executive vice president, sales and marketing, Nintendo of America Inc. "We decided it was a great idea and one we know consumers really want.

"The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker game raises the bar on digital entertainment with a unique and technologically advanced graphic style and compelling story," continues MacDougall. "Making this pre-sell program available to the fans, it solidifies Nintendo's commitment to the hardcore gamer, while introducing the series to a whole new generation of gamers."

Originally released for the Nintendo 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was honored as the 1999 Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences "Game of the Year" and also named "Game of the Century" by Next Generation magazine.

To date, worldwide sales of The Legend of Zelda series have surpassed 36 million software units. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker will retail for a suggested price of $49.95.
