played Zelda :WW demo today...

I was in the local Mall, looking for DVDs. I stopped in to Babbages to see what they had.. and there, on the GC display console, was Zelda:WW. The clerk told me that they just came out recently (maybe today), I asked him about it and he said that the Demo discs were only available to retailers (damn Nintendo). Ah, to work at a Game store.

There is nothing like seeing the game unfold in your hands. I played the Lava dungeon, and man, it was beautiful. All that cel-shaded magma goodness, all the Kriese flying around, Link's scorched ass expression, Link going prone... unfortunately the system had one of those timers that reset every 10 minutes.

In the end, I wish I hadn't played it. Its just going to make the next 2 months go by a lot slower than they would have without having a taste of Zelda WW. Oh well, there are always my pre-order discs to get me by...

Gaa, I was just gonna post about this

I too played the demo today and also played the boss stage. The game looks amazing when running and he lighting effects are completely awesome. I managed to beat the boss and grab the heart peice right before the system restarted. Ah well, the game plays extremely well and control is as great as it was on OOT. I can't wait!!!!

I saw the japanese version being sold in a local store for the same price of any other GC game (which is 75$ ). Amazon is doing a great offer BTW. Sadly it's just for US residents . U pre order Zelda:WW and the new Zelda:OTT and master version (2-in-1 pack the second was never released outside Japan). And they deduct the value of Zelda:OTT which was 70$. so u only pay 60$ for both packs. Some people have all the fun

Nameless, thats the deal everyone is doing. If you pre-order Zelda:WW anywhere you'll get the Bonus disk on the 16-17 and then you can pick up WW on the 24th.

I dunno, I checked around a few places and didn't find anywhere that would ship video games out to Saudi Arabia, you might be right abouting being out of luck on this one.

I should call Toys R' Us and see if they have it... I heard about the new demo discs a few days ago, but I still haven't checked yet.

I really wish I could afford Skies of Arcadia, but I am too broke to eat right now.

Maybe I can pawn something.... I don't have any valuables though....

EDIT: Nope. No demo discs for me...

why wont nintendo advance to the 21st century and include demo discs in their magazines?

Decoy, answer that question, and you win a nice prize. I have bugged Nintendo a bit about that myself, but they said that they were happy to hear what fans wanted, but no plans were made yet.

Try emailing them now, and see what they say. At the very least, it would give them one more person who thinks that demo discs are a good idea.

I would NEVER trade in any of my GameCube games. I tend to hold onto my games for as long as I own the system that plays them.

i normally wouldnt either, but ive opened the pikmin box twice. the first time was to put the game disk in my cube. the second was to put the disk back in the box 3 days later, and that was over a year ago. same with SMS, only more recently. star fox i play every now and then, but since i have close to $60 in blockbuster gift cards, i may as well just rent it whenever i get the urge to play it.

I can't believe you only played Pikmin or SMS that much.... Pikmin was a work of art IMO. It was short, but it was still fun, even if only to get a good score.

Super Mario Sunshine is just fun to throw in and play around for an hour or so.

EDIT: Phoenix, Zelda comes out in March.
