First one is my favorite. The SNES version.

i didn't like the fact that in BoF3 you were a kid (and nina too) it was very annoying. BoF4 was pretty cool though. i didn't find 1 or 2 very deep, at least, what i remember of it.

Um, in BoF3 you only played with child ryu/nina for the first third of the game, after that you got them in thier adult forms. Well, I can't really say which is my fav, it's not 1, but 2, 3, and 4 all have certain things going for them. Who knows, DQ might just blow them all away.

I found Bof 1 really crappy. You had to face hard battles every two steps of the road, and the storyline sucked!!! I remember that it was something like: "Oh!, you are the legendary hero! Go save some towns!!!"... That's not my style, at least...

BOF 2 is my favorite, it's what started my RPG playing craze that has lasted to this very day.

I'm with Esturk. BOF 1 definately. I played and loved it on the SNES, I beat it too but I got the bad ending (there are two endings to BOF 1, good and bad). Now I'm playing and throughly enjoying it on the GBA. It is a pixel perfect translation of the SNES version. This time I will get the good ending. As for the battles being to hard in the begining, just fight around the town where you start. Kill a few monsters and then go into town, talk to the old woman to rest and heal for free, go to the Dragon Shrine and save, then got out and do it again. In no time you'll be level 6 and will have been able to buy a Sabre and some herbs (at least 10 to 12), after that you can tackle the first quest. From there the rest is easy. I really like the parts where Gobi changes into a giant fish and Nina learns how to change into a giant bird. Then you can fly everywhere. BOF 1, as far as I'm concerned, is the best of the series, followed by 3, 4, and then 2 (didn't really like 2, found it hard to get into) sincerely, sx/amiga. |

![]() Bof2 was very emotional, had some nice soundtracks and a good storyline. It talks about each character's past. Moreover, we all liked Nina's new looks and how every character can gain new powers when he gets "shamized" . Anyways, everyone is intitled to his own opinions, but I just wanted to know about BoF 3 and 4 since Bof2 got really hooked up to the game

Ok, I would like to mention that at this point in time, I have finished only BoF 1&2. I have played some of BoF4, and I played like 5 minutes of BoF3. I have not played the GBA Ports of BoF1 &2. My favorite at this point in time is BoF2. It was hard as hell, but it was fun. |
