how many games are out right now for ps2?

I was wondering how many game all together (not including games with altered version of the same game ). the reason I was wondering is because my consumer economics teacher said "there are only 50 games out for playstation 2". I'm sure this is wrong. thanx

Definately more than 50. If you want proof goto www.gamefaqs.com and goto the ps2 section. Eg, there are more than 50 games listed there that begin with the letter "A", let alone the entire alphabet.

There are well over 100 ps2 games, I think there are about 2050 games (a guess). But like Betamax said, check out gamefaqs.

From what I've seen I would say that there are at least 300 games out for the PS2 and probably more. Only 50?:eek:, good grief! I have 16 myself and know that are many many more out there.

it doesn't look like less than or equal to 50 to me. However, 500 seems to be a better number.
