Final Fantasy, which is the best in you opinion?

So, I'd want to know which of FF7, 8, and 9 do you prefer
and why?

I don't put FF6 in the poll for the reason that most of you are going to vote for it... and I think I'd do the same

Yeah! I like its Manga style, and its storyline is one of the best I saw
until I played Xenogears

I played FF7 over more than 150 hours (1/4 of the time spent in the gold saucer )

I think Xenogears will hold the "Best RPG" title for many years to come, unless squaresoft makes something really well.....( but i still doubt that they will create a girl "hotter" than Aya Brea or Elly  )

as for FF VII, yeah, the music and storyline did help alot.....the polygon-schemed graphics didnt look appealling that much, but overall, its a masterpiece

It wasn't "great" graphically, but the style pleased me, far more tha FF8's... and yes, the music! I forgot the music

>>I think Xenogears will hold the "Best RPG" title for many years to come

No doubt in US, but in France, this game is very unknown
But IMO, it isn't the best RPG, it's THE BEST GAME I EVER SAW...
gotta restart it

I'd say 7, but I've been around these boards long enough to see about a dozen threads on this same topic.

hmm, anyways, how about making a sticky ( just like the PS2 vs GC vs Xbox thread) to avoid such duplicate threads?

Final Fantasy 9 The reason is probably cause I didn't enjoy the others as much.

I played Final Fantasy 7 after I played FF8 and I dunno I just wasn't into it.

I liked FF8 a lot until I hit the last disc where I found the game and the plotline to be really really disappointing.

FF9 I liked so much, it reminded me of my favorite FF game which isn't on your poll which is FF4 of FF2 in Japan. I liked all the scenarios and places and the plot and the characters....well I just liked the entire game. ^^

I never started FF4, even though if I have it
But IMO, the best 2 are FF6 and FF7, maybe because this one has
a little cyberpunk ambience...

FF9 was cool too, but the background didn't please me a lot

My vote goes to FF8 (maybe the only one). Its kinda weird being the only one here that thinks FF8 is great, but... Like Larry Flynt said: "Opinions are like...". Well I won't finish this sentence 'cause I would be banned!
