Interesting,....althought i dont know how reliable this info can be,....I never heard of infinuimlabs before, and i dont think they have the power to compete with the PS2, GC or Xbox. I even doubt that their console will have strong titles and 3rd party support. We shall see if this is true or not and weather it will succeed , time will tell......

well, it obviously wouln't be hard to beat the technology of the other consoles, but like kingstar stated, if they don't have the games, nobody will want the system.

--bulky box: one of the reasons why people prefered Sony's Playstation over Sega's Saturn, althought the saturn was capable of beating the PSX. I dont think that design is attractive and the controllers are big...its very similar the Xbox's

This is very similar to Microsoft...believe they can take the world by storm by out-performing the competition and they think the hard-core gamers will flock to them. Well, the truth is hard-core gamers stick to what they know and like, in terms of consoles, and/or they mainly use the PC for upgrading their games. Kingstar, you're right, they probably have very limited third party support, if any that can outdo Square, Sega, or any of the numerous other well-established production companies.

It's not about the hardware, it's about the software. This console reminds me of a similar console released a year or two ago that went bankrupt some two months after its release (assuming it even WAS released, it might have been slightly before). I have no doubt this one will be exactly the same way.

maybe it'll be a console that can play all the other 3's games. whoa, that'd be cool.

Um, vivrantpig? Coming out in December? December of 2003. That is still almost a year away. That is why they only have a concept picture. They have almost a whole year to finalize it. As for taking the console world by storm, I doubt it. 3DO, Phillips CDI, Atari Jaguar anyone? If they are going to release this thing (I don't care for the look of it at all) in about a year, just think of how much more momentum the PS2, GC, and X-Box wil have gained. Plus the GBA SP will be out, the GeForce FX will be out, Intel's 3ghz and above processors will be here, and...... get the picture? If they expect to "beat out" everone else with this, then I think that, as my mother used to say "They've picked themselves a very tough row to hoe." 'Nuff said. sincerely, sx/amiga |

I saw this on VE3D.com and thought it was kinda funny. They had posted up a piece about the Phantom, but quickly took it down and replaced it with this. BTW, the links in the pics below are as such: unknown company, press release on IGN
