Which is better... BoF3 or BoF4

I know this is kinda old... But I want everybody to share their knowledge or opinions about these two games. One of my classmates say that BoF3 has a good fancy graphics while the other classmates of mine says that BoF4 is better.

Please tell me which is better so that i can correct them with useful information. Thanks.

well, i onw both BoF4 has better graphics, but BoF3 has better gameplay, storywise, there noth pretty much the same story, just different way of saying it/doing it, so my vote foes to BoF3 since it has a better battle system

The only really good thing about 4 was Fou-Lu, in all other aspects bof3 kicks bof4's ass. Especially the dragon transformations looked like **** in 4.

BoF3 at least vaguely tied in with the other games, BoF4 at best made a mockery of them.

I liked both but voted for 4 because I got into the story, preferred the method of learning enemy skills, didn't pull my hair out trying to do the ******* mini-games and I just really like cell-shaded graphics.

Yah? Certainly looked cell-shaded but I didn't know for certain and, well... guessed I still really liked the graphics in BoF4

exactly.
the graphics were amazing, the graphics in BoF3 were simply childish...
and also, as one of the first RPGs, long before FFX, BoF4 featured that system that lets you switch characters during battle.
and also, the magic-combo-system was really fun!
of course, the characters were boring , however, the characters in BoF3 weren't much better...
I read BoF 5 is horrible, i guess the glory times of the BoF series are over

Cell shading looks like crap today. Maybe with the next generation of consoles cell-shading will look anything like Anime.

3 had more chibi characters, I think that's all he's getting at.

its also about the colors...
while in BoF3 everything had these annoying neon-colors that hurt my eyes for hours full of boredom and pain, in BoF4 everything had this natural FFT-like color palette.

I don't know why graphics are so important to u. Yeah, BoF4 graphics are better, but the game isn't fun. Its too boring and easy. BoF3 is way better.

BoF4 got boring after a while, thats completely right.
however, in my opinion BoF3 was not only boring but really tedious too, which is why i had to stop playing it for about a year before i got enough motivation to play it again.

While I don't think either games are awesome, I liked them both. My vote goes to BoF3 though. Just cause I had more fun playing it.

Actually my favorite is and always will be, BOF 1 on the SNES. But since you are asking about BOF 3 vs. BOF 4, I would have to say BOF 3. I found BOF 3 really easy to get into and stay with and I also really like the way you can walk around and pick when you want to fight. BOF 4 was a lot harder for me to get into and stay with, it just did not appeal to me as much. If someone wanted to play the entire series, I would reccomend them in this order: BOF 1, BOF 3, BOF4, BOF 2.
sincerely,
sx/amiga
