Nintendoīs Megaton Secret Solved

Recently a pic was posted on a very respected gaming site with the text th Nintendo Difference below it. A few days later there are rumors going around that Ninentendo is going to unveil a big secret before the year ends.

This pic is used the same way as the Sonic one was when Sonic wasnīt confirmed yet for the GC and that turned out to be true.

If this picture is legit then chanches are that Nintendo is or has bought up Sega and Capcom. Can you imagine all off those GC exlusive games ?

Now letīs just hope itīs true.

well, Sonic was Sega's mascot, Megaman was from Capcom, but that short fat plumber isnt from Nintendo? I mean, whenever we hear the word Mario, we remember nintendo and vice versa, ..I find that very confusing........

As can I Kingstar , Mario has always been Nintedoīs little baby.
But somehow I think heīs gonna get some competition from a certain hedgehog if this turns out to be true , seeing as SEGA would only have to focus on one system then.

Heh. I was hoping that it would be something like Sega going 2nd party... (Or maybe even 1st party? )

We know that Microsoft Japan recently said they were NOT buying Sega despite rumors to the contrary. This pic is just heating up another rumor that spawned from that announcement.

That pic actually reminds me of the shots of Sonic Adventure II that Sega put on their website a long time back. They mosiaced a couple of in game shots, and they were reproduced almost exactly as they were shown later on with Photoshop.

Kingstar, Mario was entirely the creating of Nintendo's main genius, Shigeru Miyamoto.

Thatīs the exact pic I meant Ninja.
Canīt wait till something on this gets actually confirmed (dreams of the mario&sonic game which was rumored a while ago)

The future is looking good I guess.

And having Megaman , RE ,etc. isnīt too bad either I guess

Not that I know of Ninja , except for DMC2 and Onimusha 3 which are both well underway already.

Well, thank you TOFKAZ.

It does seem that Sega has recently announced an online service for both Sony and Nintendo recently though. I guess that shoots that theory out of the water a little.

Maybe Nintendo bought Sonic Team or the exclusive rights to Sonic.

You mean the SNAP right ?

Sega.com is going to help (smaller) developers with online gaming issues. So that they can make them multi-platform (Nintendo&Sony) they will use the SNAP (Sega Network Application Package) for this.

Why do they refer to SEGA as sega.com instead of SEGA ???

Ok, well, if that blew the story out of the water a little, this will blow it COMPLETELY out of the water.

Still, Capcom is looking pretty likely.

I think 2nd party-ism and whatnot is terrible for gamers. I like how tons of good games come out for multiple platforms. I think system exclusives just deprive gamers and I'm happy the more games come out multi-console. I'm especially happy when games come out on PC since I don't have any NextGen consoles. I don't really understand why people like 2nd and 1st party superiority. If you like a game and have a certain system then why wouldn't you want other people to enjoy that game on whatever system they own too? I take no pride in my video game system, and don't feel special that whatever I own has games that other people can't play. Such huge companies as Sega and Capcom being bought up by Nintendo would really piss me off, cause it would deprive all the PS2 and X-Box owners out there, not to mention us PC owners, cause Nintendo-exclusive games don't often get ported to PC.

Rhombus, I might agree with you, except for one thing.

Look at the multiconsole games that are available, and then compare them to the second party games available. You might notice that the second party games recieve a LOT mroe attention and refinement than a multiconsole game.

If Final Fantasy X was multiconsole, would it look so good?

If Metroid Prime was multiconsole, would it be half the game that it is today?

If Resident Evil was multiconsole, would it be anything near the masterpiece it is?

If Eternal Darkness was multiconsole, would the load times still be unnoticable?

The answer to all of the above is simply, NO! For a game to recieve the proper attention it deserves, being console exclusive is a must, otherwise we most often end up seeing games such as Spy Hunter or Turok Evolution. Big steaming piles of crap.

And the fanboy in me demands that it must be noted that 2nd party Nintendo games boost GameCube sales.

I see other games though and there are a bunch of games that ARE good on multiple platforms. Resident Evil's new titles may be exclusive now, but the franchise has been on PSX, DC, and now PS2 and GC (is it on X-Box?) and I don't think that's diminished from the quality of the series. There are other games that are good on multiple systems like Hitman2, many many MANY sports titles and fighting games.
