The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker Gets US Release Date

Earlier this morning at a press conference held in Seattle, Nintendo of America announced the official release date for Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in the US. The title will ship in the States on March 24, 2003, according to the company.

I already knew this , rumors I mean but now it´s official.
But why is Zelda being delayed , anyone know ?

Zelda was originally scheduled for February.

Well, the Zelda Pre-Order Promotion begins on February 11th now. We are going to be able to play Ura Zelda while waiting for Wind Waker to come out.

Well seeing as a great part of Ura Zelda is equa to OoT you should be able to finish it within a week at most.

I hope I´m wrong on this but I don´t expect ura to have more then 3 extra dungeons.

Hell no, I just want something different. Some item locations have been switched around, and there are some other differences. I want ot go through and find them all. (And IIRC, there is an extra dungeon.)

Carmofin... I feal your pain brother.. I really do... It sukz so big to get the game last !!! I remember when MGS2 and FFX was released in the real world and people played them and all I could do was to try not to see any spoilers. Same thing now

I actually feel really sorry for you guys. I am in misery simply thinking about all the lucky Japanese people playing Zelda at this very moment, and me having to wait until March....

I just hope that the pre-order thing will be available in Canada as well as the US. I will be there FIRST thing in the morning to pre-order mine. I guarantee you that.

I already preoreder my zelda online... but since nintendo hasn't officially confirmed that they are handing out the discs, im a bit wary. Well the website claimed they would give out the discs to preorders, so all I can do is trust them... haha

somthing that hasnt been mentioned, is that if you pre-order, you get the extra disk with OoT and Ura zelda. that origionally was going to be japan only.

Heh. Yep, February 16th. I will be camped outside of Toys R' Us about then....

Hmmm, I can't wait for February either since that is when the GeForce FX (NV30) is supposed to be available. I also think that it is great that another Zelda is coming for the GC. I always liked the series and have all of them up through Zelda MOM.
BTW, I heard that the GeForce FX might be available in limited quanties in December (this month). You can all bet that I'll be "haunting" the computer store ads to see if it does come out and that if it does, I'll be one of the first in line to get one. Much like Ninja being first in line for the new Zelda game.

Heh. sx/amiga, I love your honesty and tolerance. I have rarely seen you lose your temper, or give anything but your own opinion. I love you for that. Also, you have never lost your youth. You are EXACTLY the person I want to be when I grow up, and I seriously mean that. (well, except for the fact that I will be a Nintendo fanboy until the day Nintendo goes bankrupt.).

Thanks Ninja, I appriecate it, I really do. I do try hard and it is really nice to know that it is appriecated. As for my sincerity, well I've always believed that if you are sincere peole will know and respect you for it, but if you are "faking" it, people will know that as well andwill avoid you for it.
As for being like me when you grow up, don't worry about being a Nintendo fanboy, since I like Nintendo a lot and I have a great deal of respect for them. The orginal 8 bit Nintendo was my first Console and the SNES was my second. I have also enjoyed GB, CGB, and GBA very much as each one came out. But when Nintendo went to the N-64, I kind of lost interest and I got more into Sony Play Station. That is why I am more partial to Sony than to Nintendo now-a-days. But I still like Nintendo and who knows, one day I may, yet, own a Game Cube.
Last, you're very welcome for my being here. It is a pleasure and a privilage to be an Admin on these boards and to interact w/such great people like you. It is what keeps me "young". Take care.
