Anyone else playing America's Army?
Well? I prefer realistic fps, and so far AA is the best for me. Any "realistic" shooter out there that is better?

Kept getting a d3d error when I tried to run it, so I gave up and installed The Third Reich instead. I'm a bit obsessed with the great patriotic war, so even if I can't play as the red army it's still my new favorite toy.

I play America's Army from time to time. I haven't played it in a while, as my GameCube gets all the attention lately, but you will usually find me in a sniper position on the Bridge. I think my name is Grey Fox. I haven't found an FPS I like more btw. I played Medal of Honor for a while, but America's Army kicked its butt. |

many ppl like C&C Renegade but for me AA kicked the cra* out of it... ive been playing since the release date and have literally mastered every square inch of every map and every strategy except on the new map that came out like 3 days ago. The only thing i still find hard is throwing grenades into the 2nd floor windows in Insurgent_Camp... in hq_raid im almost always the scoring leader on defence because i know how to not be stupid in it, if ive got a sniper rifle in bridge you can be rest assured im getting 6 kills per game if my teammates dont miraculously kill the enemy... in other words, i play the game a lot, and ive learned a few tricks... if you find me anywhere my names Malek... lately ive been playing the new map, Mountain_Pass, and Bridge, but if i find a server with the other maps i sometimes play them too... i know i might sound a little too sure of myself right now, but thats because i enjoy seeing myself in the number 1 or 2 spot in scoring leaders on my team

Well, I'm not that good at the game. And I ALWAYS play Assault on the Bridge. I hate camping, and I like a challenge, even if I'm not very good. I haven't played much of insurgent camp though, because I don't know the map and I always get wasted. ![]() The second airborne level is pretty good too though. I will usually play defense on that level. |

Bridge sucks in the new version... It's just a battle to see which team has people who know the precise way of blind firing the 203 better. I find it totally retarded and disheartening that so many people feel that they should resort to cheapness of such a magnitude in order to win. I still like playing the Bridge, but I just get sick of being shot from across the map. Btw, my username is Grey Ninja. If anyone is ever in the same game as me, give me a shout. |

Bleh, what a horrible game. I tryed it and realized CS/TFC/MOHAA was alot better. Especially MOHAA, because its alot more fun and you have all your multiplayer modes. DM, TDM, Objective etc..... MOHAA is alot better in single player tho. The only reason I tryed AA was for the team objectives, but it was more of capture the town via command points. EDIT: I know cs/tfc is the same except its alittle more fast paced.

Reichfuher, I played MoH for a while, and I suppose it's ok if you are into those kind of games, but I really prefer AA because of the realism offered in a lot of cases. I actually just uninstalled MoH the other night because I never play it anymore. There's also a subculture that exists in games such as CS and MoH that I REALLY hate. The atmosphere is a lot better in America's Army. Strider, I guess I am going to have to find a new map. I really like the Bridge map though....

dont worry, after 1 full round of each map on each team you should be quite familiar with every map, i should know since my decision-making is very erratic so i have to know every map and how to play them

not to mention all the people who cheat or call you a cheater or just yell like damn kids... the thing i hate most is when i hear some 10 year old in the mic barking orders at me, geez, i should shoot THEM, MoH is pretty good, it is fun, and i like world war themes too, infact i enjoy feudal (battle oriented) history the most of all, but its just a bit too unreal for me

i d loaded americas army a while ago but the damn system requirements are very high and it was only compatible with a few gfx cards at the time i d loaded it so it looked very bad on my comp. So i got rid of it i might consider waisting my time redownloading it (which will take quite awhile considering i have 56k) if they make it compatible with more graphics cards, and if they have already please tell me.
