Yup, pretty sad allright. Let's hope they change it before the game is released. Come on Square, you can do better than that.

I can't really see it well enough... this isn't the "standard" FF logo format... as it's usally a white background, which would make seeing the logo much better. Anyway, I personally found the FF9 logo to be the worst... it was pretty lame

heh. FF8 had to be the worst. I thought that FFV was pretty cool though myself. FFVI was also one of my favorites.

FF6's was really cool and looked great, but when I first saw it, before playing the game, I didn't really know what the hell it was. Of course you figure out in the 1st minute of gameplay, but at first glance without playing the game it looks kinda weird... maybe that's why it wasn't on the box or cartridge in the US version

I like em all, anything Amano is good in my book.

I kinda liked 8's - the game had its fair share of flaws, but at least the logo does a good job of summarizing the theme the designers were trying to get across. Also the characters look like the characters in the game, most of the time Amano's art doesnt really match up.

Whoever, you might be shocked to know this, but Amano never did the artwork for FF7, 8, and 10. They were done by this miserable little man who can't hold a candle to Amano, and relies almost entirely on sex symbols to get his artwork approved.

but Amano has done his own versions of FF7,8,X artwork. I have a poster of FFX done by Amano

hmmm... I stand corrected. Amano did do the artwork for the FFX logo. I have also checked out some of his other artwork for FFX. It's pretty good.
