StarFox Adventures

I just rented a game that could out due mario sunshine ( i finally reliezed it wasnt that great of a game) StarFox Adventures dino planet, at first i was dissapointed because it was boring and after a while i couldnt put my pad down. It's quite easy but there is one hard point that ive ran in to so far and thats where you have to carry a explosive barrel up a circle like hill with other berrels coming down at you like donkey kong (huh thats rare for yah) i was hella pissed with that, but other wise its easy so far i have currentley 30% complete and i plan on staying up tonight and play it through most of tomarrow with taking a few brakes. Right now i just got back to dino planet and i had to light some of the dino (forgot the race exctally) fire poles i guess sort of stupid but oh-well

my rating so far

graphics :10 (that ati is powerful i think radeon does it (ninja correct me if im wrong) )

music:6 (sort of boring)

control: 7 (seems to be like zelda which pisses me off but heck if it gives me experience for the new zelda that comes out then bring it on)

fun: 10 (this game is so damn fun)

overall: 8.25 (again this is now it could change for the better or worse)

i would like to hear what you all think

There will, currently developed by Namco (by the team which makes Ace Combat).

Isnt the new Star Fox supposed to be arcade only, along with the new f-zero?

Nah, there will be a new star fox on GC, as for F-Zero, there will be 2 versions, one named F-Zero AC (for arcade), and the other F-Zero GC (guessed it huh ? ).

Ok I'll clear up things here :

Star Fox Info :

Nintendo has given Namco the Starfox license to develop a StarFox Arcade game , which will be first released on the Triforce hardware.

The chance of a GC version is pretty obvious but hasn't been officially announced by either Nintendo or Namco.

F-Zero Info :

Not only is F-Zero coming to GameCube, but it's also zooming into the arcades...and is being developed by SEGA's Amusement Vision team! The Arcade version, known as F-Zero AC and published by SEGA, will interact with its console counterpart via a GCN Memory Card and should make for interesting additions in both versions. No details on gameplay are available right now, but extreme speeds are a given. Expect this to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship between Nintendo and Sega's creative minds.

And as far as Falco not being in Starfox Adventures :

I can't comment on this since the game isn't released here yet (22 November is it's release date here)

Matty, Art-X made the GPU in the GameCube. They were bought out by ATI just as they were finishing up the design. All that ATI really did was get their logo placed on the GameCube. I really have no objections, as ATI is a hard working chipset manufacturer, and is in need of a break. So no, the hardware in the GameCube is VERY different from a Radeon. It's unlike anything you would put in a PC for that matter.

As for the barrels.... get used to them. You will find that the barrel tricks just get harder and harder. Overall though, I agree with your review. It's good, but not the special game I was looking for. I personally gave it an 8/10

TOFKAZ, I believe that Namco has officially announced a Starfox game for GameCube.

Indeed, Namco will now handle the future Star fox games. But i still didnt get a clear answer to my previous question. What the hell did happen to falco? ( i really liked him considering himself above fox in starfox64 )

The story told in the SFA instruction book is that Falco got bored with the lack of action that the team was experiencing, and flew off to seek out his own adventures.

I miss him too, and I hope he returns in the next TRUE Star Fox game.
