I can play games while logged on as guest. ...You know, there's only one reason why games give you that error message, and it's because you're not using the original CD.

I've seen this -- some games that won't run (especially with odd CD checks) on Windows NT-based systems running as a non-admin account... just the way the scheme was coded, I'm sure. Getting around the CD protection could work, but I am not sure the board rules and/or the DMCA will allow me to say any more about it

Sometimes you need a NOCD crack. And no they are not illegal they just *alter* the startup code thingy. Search on the net. Or a fileshare program.

Do u have Deamon tools installed? Some games only reconize the first cd drive, and since deamon tools install a virtual drive b4 the real cd drive, some games will not work.

Did you do the full install option? Most NO-CD exe's require a full install in order for them to work properly.

That's what I meant, the CD-crack thingy I thought you'd pick up on what I meant.Anyway, if you did a full install, tried the CD crack thing, tried the Daemon tools CD thing, etc, you're probably SOL without getting admin privlidges, sorry

Normally my gut reaction is that this would be warez and lock this thread immediately. However I did a bit of snooping around at westwood and yes this is a known bug: Quote:
My advice would be to try the bugfix @ http://westwood.ea.com/html/techsupp/patches.html

Like what has been said, Tiberian Sun needs to be run on a CDROM drive, not a DVD nor a CDRW IF you don't have the patch. So get the patch.
