Smile Legend of Dragoon and Shadow Madness

First, can anyone tell me how good Legend of Dragoon is. I test played it at Wal-Mart and I was impressed w/it, so I bought it. I'm just wondering how others feel about this game. Thanks.
Second, about Shadow Madness, has anyone heard of this RPG before? I hadn't until today when I saw it in a used Video Game store. I thumbed through the manuel and liked what I saw, so I purchased it. I'm just wondering why I hadn't heard of it before. It seems like a staight forward RPG to me. Could it be that it is not very well known or is rather old? Thanks for any replies.
sincerely,

Shadow Madness...ah...this game was the produce of a few ex-Square employees who worked on FF7...the game is quite similar because of this having spells, summons. etc...this guy wrote an informative review

Thanks Delita and Dark Watcher. The review of Shadow Madness was what I was looking for. I also looked at some of the screens. I enjoyed FF VII so I guess I will give Shadow Madness a go and see how I do.

I actually did finished Shadow Madness years ago. To be honest, it is very disappointing, really. No offense anyone, but for me it is the worst RPG I've played. I don't think they did a good job for that game, it look like a last minute work. For example, there is no difference between Stinger and his father in term of appearance in battles, except for palette swapping. Plus the inventory management is sooooo... tiresome, with no sorting option. The battle effect are also disappointing, especially while Windleaf uses her bow and arrows. Example, fire arrow has the same graphic effect as ice arrow. This also goes for magic. They should really put more effort about it.

Legend of the Dragoons is one of the best RPG out there . Original good Story and good Ghrapics . Rating 9/10 , the battle/Combo system is the missing point .

Shadow Madness? Well, atleast its used. I played for a while before but I didnt enjoy it at all. I'd call it a waste of money if I had not heard about the not-bad story it has. Perhaps if you bear with the bad part of the game you'll enjoy its story.

Thanks everyone. If I don't like Shadow Madness, I can always let it go. As for LOD, I played some the other night and I liked what I saw. LOD is definately a "keeper" for me.
