Errm FF9 Kuja (spoiler?)

Uhh I don;t get it. They keep calling it a him. But he looks like a chick. Kinda looks like he is wearing a thong too?

Am I the only one that thinks Kuja looks extremely womanish? I mistaked him for a woman at first.... Actually I thought it was a woman till they referred to Kuja as "him"

That very question was that original basis for the infamous "A lonely night" thread. The answer to your question is in there (somewhere around page 20 I think )

OK I was off by about 4 pages (not bad considering there was 154 of them  )

Here's my original post from that thread:

***Warning Spoilers***

Ok there are 2 male charactors which look slightly feminine, namely Zidane and Kuja. What do both these charactors have in common? On disk 3 Garland tells us that they are both of the same species, only Kuja hides his tail. Both Zidane and Kuja are Genomes. Accoring to the info that the genome girl gives us at their village, the genomes are soulless "vessels" designed to carry the souls of the ppl of Terra once terra has merged with Gaia.
Another gemome mentions the fact that they are asexual. Aha! The race that Zidane and Kuja do not really have a sex. However it is reasonable to assume that the souls of the ppl whom they were meant to host do. Thus a genome must adapt to suit the "gender" of the soul which is inhabiting it.

This explains why Zidane and Kuja both look slightly feminine. Although they have been inhabited by male souls and have adapted to suit, there is still some trace of the femine gender that they could have been.

The ironic thing is that if they had been inhabited by female souls they probably would have looked butch

*** End spolier ***

Thats the answer folks (IMHO that is) and it only took about 16 pages to figure it out

Sounds like Garnet's in for a dissappointment on her wedding night if she ties the knot with Zidane.

LOL!

he needed to tone down on the lipstick an wear less restrictive under garments... no wonder he was so cynical... if i had to wear a tight thong like that, u'd better believe i'd be uptight.

I think Vivi's struggle for existence was better done. It was odd his story, but you really did care when you found out his story. Well at least I did.

I myself have not cared that much for Vivi. I'm taken a break from the game right now . But I'm supposed to go searching for places to break the seal.

It's been bout a year or year half since I finished FF9 so I can't remember whether you have got Vivis full story at the place in the game where you are. But it sounds like your just about to go to Terra and after Terra its disc 4, so you should have Vivis full story. <SPOILER> I dont know but I just found it really sad when you found out that Vivi was made for war and has an 'expiry date' .

Now that I think about it, I always thought Zidane looked "cute." Maybe that explains why...

I liked zidane and vivi the most. They had a lot of background and personality.

Agree... but what impressed me of Kuja is that he struggles for existance in a different way than Vivi yet his "battle" is valid one... the game showed two different struggles with a same goal... actually you can't say that there is one who isn't right... it was pretty cool...
