I have it and I beat it. It's a really great game. Superficially the game seems similar to GTA3, but it's really not all that similar, as the Mafia is far more linear and plot-driven, and much more realistic in terms of physics, character damage, etc. Definitely play it if you like stuff about the mob like Godfather or Sopranos... and the graphics, especially the character modelling, are just awesome

hi!

The graphic quality and the atmosphere are great. The handling of the cars is better than in the most racing games.
But the AI and the collision-detection simply sucks.
If they make a Mafia 2, they should kick the coder of the AI and the collision-detection out of their team and get a new one, because this ****up the complete game (beside the problem that it crash nearly one time per hour).

btw. i miss a "I've ended it, and play it currently a second time." in the poll

Not really interested in it. The GTA style genre isn't my thing.

More and more games are being released which are if GTA tyle. I haven't played this game as the reviews say that the fun factor isn't the same as that of GTA. I am waiting for GTAVC BTW

There is another GTA like game in the making, Criminal Life: Streets of LA.

I never said that it wasn't fun to play. These type of games means a lot of fun. I said that it is not as fun as GTA.

Syed, I have been hearing that GTA 3 is nothing compared to Mafia. But I don't like either game, so....

It is about mobs and car jacking and inter city Car jacking. The only game it can be compared to is GTA. Is there any other game besides GTA which is like Mafia?

Another thing is that Mafia came after GTA. Rockstar might have learned something from GTA.

BTW the reason why I like GTA more is the fact that youcan go as off plot as you want. Branching missions and other mini missions make it my type. Mafia is "slower".
