Some 3d games ever give you a headache?
There are a couple games that I simply cannot play because playing them gives me a headache. And not all 3d games do. Just a select few. One I'd really like to beat is Grandia 1 for the PSX, but whenever I play that game my eyes strain and I generate massive headache. Same with Tomb Raider Chronicles. Funny thing is I can play other 3d games like Unreal, Final Fantasty, Chrono Cross, Dark Savior for the Sega Saturn and not get a headache. But these ones do. |

tomb raider also gives me a headache. it takes me almost one week of playing just to finish tomb raider one. that takes away my interest of finishing other tomb raider games. that must have a setting for hard, easy and normal dont you think?

i've nearly started vomiting after playing wolfenstein 3d once... that's because of the fast swings.... the same in a rollercoaster... my stomach simply can't stand it... at least the newer games have nicer graphics so i can play them too

...yep, this has happened to me too. In fact, it still happens whenever I play an FPS for more than 3 hours straight... My worst experience was when Jedi Knight came out. Being the huge Star Wars fan that I am, I was totally hooked to this game (I also liked Dark Forces a lot, but not as much) and I was playing for about 8 hours straight. It didn't seem much at first, but when I got up from the chair, I felt my head spinning like crazy, and so I collapsed in bed, closed my eyes, and didn't move for another hour, until the dizziness somewhat receded !! ...it was horrible, I tell ya !! :eyes: |

If the room is dark when i play an FPS on my computer, my eyes will turn red and start to burn. What i have to suffer through to play the UT2K3 demo.

The first time I played Descent 3, I thought I was going to throw up. But after a few hours I got used to it.

Yeah, when I first played the Descent games it kind of gave me a headache, but I got used to it.

I've never gotten truly sick... I've felt mildly dizzy till I got used to a couple of weird games... or was it I threw them out my window... one of the two...

Actually, I won't have any troubles playing 3d games. But I have a friend here who actually puke after seeing me playing one of the oldest FPS, Rise Of The Triads. It happened some years ago, but I will never forget it.

When I got my n64 for christmas like, four years ago, I hadn't sleep well and I started playing mario 64. I got really dizzy after 15 minutes of gameplay. Later, reading the mario 64 manual, I found that getting dizzy was a natural consequence if you don't sleep well before playing. Also, pandemonium 2 for the psx got me dizzy in some parts... all those sicodelic colors rotating in the screen... (ugh...)

Probably from the slow frame rate, but playing Wolfenstein 3D gave me a headache. Doom was another game I got a headache from because I played it on a 386 instead of the faster 486.

I don't want to open up a thread on this so I'll ask here, anyone felt a sour stomach due to playing a game? You know like when you want to puke. This happens to me when I play games like Deus Ex, Half Life, Mortal Kombat for long periods of time. |
