I have heard some good things, but the game selection is still crapy. I think that the PS2 and PC will rain domanate for a while in that department.

I am a big PSX fan. I love some of the game that were on it system my be capable of handling it but I think that PSX did a better job than the N64 over all could have done.

it all comes down to who has more companies working for them and making good games... betamax's quote about "superior marketing of an inferior product..." comes to mind as well

no, the one that apply for competition amongst other things... examples ? look at the "Microsoft bashed Nintendo" thread... it was from a time (2 or 3 weeks ago if I'm not mistaken) when MS came with a very insulting advertisement toward Mario...

The problem is that the Xbox, being a microsoft console and all, has pretty good games. And that is what makes a console, not the past behind the company that made it. Little kids that know nothing about competition between computer industries will want the console that has the games they want. That will make (probably) that the xbox culture start spreading.

I would like to see how does the game looks at least. I mean, Silent Hill is about the devil and stuff. And what better than to look a story about the devil on the devil's console??? With devilish graphics?
