I don't think it was... I am really not sure. I have never noticed any similarity, and I still don't. It seems a lot more like Battlestar Galactica to me. Star Trek doesn't use fighters for one thing. Star Trek is always about the capital ships, whereas Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Wing Commander, etc. were always about the fighters.

EDIT: Kingstar, it was a NINTENDO game.

Kaiser, two new Star Fox games are being developed by Namco. They feature traditional Star Fox gameplay, but better. I have high hopes for them.

Here's a shot of the actual cartridge. I don't have the game around me right now, and I don't actually have my N64 hooked up, even if I was at home, but you would think that Rare would have their logo on the cartridge if they had anything to do with it, wouldn't you?

Not really. There's a poster with a lot of Japanese writing on it, and a few CG renders of the characters.

Supposedly, one of the games is for arcade machines that use the Triforce hardware (GameCube based hardware developed by Nintendo, Sega, and Namco). The other one is a home version for GameCube. I am thinking that they will be compatable, but not identical.

Kingstar, everyone makes mistakes. I just wanted to make it clear that it wasn't a Rare game. It wasn't their style, after all.

hehe I missed the thread. I voted for Capcom.
Squaresoft develops the most amazing FMV IMO they've got enough resources to make the best graphics, however I'm not a FF fan.

I didn't really enjoy sonic that much. for me it was a blue ball flying around the screen collecting ring and when I was finished I didn't feel I had a complished anything.

I must play Sonic one day. That's on my to-do list.

Phoenix, I think that Capcom and Konami are pretty close to Square in terms of FMV.
