Panasonic released the Q under their own wind IIRC.

yes, but seeing that some people bought PS2 just for the DVD playback option, Big N decided to back fire by releasing thier own DVD addon ( personally,...i ll buy a console because its a console, not because of the DVD playback)..........

I don't think so kingstar. Nintendo wants their consoles to be used purely for gaming unlike Sony and MS. However the Panasonic Q looks damn cool. The only advantage any console can have over another is the quality + quantity of games. And that's that. |

The Panasonic Q is a mighty fine machine I think. But it's entirely a Panasonic product. The GameCube is a collaborative effort between many companies, and I gather that Matsu****a (Panasonic) wanted to make their own version of the GameCube.

I know Kaiser, I feel the way you do about it, but the Panasonic Q is like a big sex machine. It's got blue LEDs, and is all metallic silver. I get a wood just thinking about it. But of course I respect Nintendo's ideals regarding the DVD issue, and I actually applaud them for it. |

the dvd add on for the ps2 is pretty worthless for me. i don't use it. i have my own dvd player that has more features and less compatabilty problems. i bought my apex for a mere $50 at my local fry's. It could also play vcds and mp3s and my kareoke vcds from the philippines also works on it!!! but i ( my parents actually) have my own specialized kareoke machine for those disks.

Guys,..ahem,....remember when the PS2 came up? people used to say : " WOW!! new improved graphics and a DVD PLAYER!!! man, i should buy that straight away!! " . Sony was attempting to increase it sales by adding that dvd player ( which most of us gamers, find it sort of useless). And to say the truth, Everyone started to buy the PS2 because of the games AND the dvd. ....

KONAMI. And I'll add it to the list of choices as well. Geez, Rare...

Oh yeah, seeing the Konami logo before a game almost always means it will be a good one... and Konami games cover a great variety also... EDIT: could anyone please give me an example of a Rare game?¿? Sorry for my ignorance, but I never heard of it... |

The reason of that, is because Rare was always associated with Nintendo for the past 10 years. An example would be Star Fox 64 and Star fox Adventures. ( on N64 and GC).........there are other great titles, but i am not sure weather they are made by rare or not,...............
