Unhappy CS Update Problem

I got CS retail today and downloaded the latest update (1.5) The full 116mb update. When i try to install it it says that i'm trying to install it to the wrong directory and that i need to install it where i originally installed CS, even when i select the right directory, i get the SAME error. Anyone know how to fix this? (The one i have is not a warez version, i bought it for $10 )

You'll have to download the Retail Update! There are diferent Update Files for the Retail and Mod versions. Also you'll need the HL update 1.0.0.10 or somthing like that

Btwn retail and the full version in my opinion i would download the full, cause they're most the same size, and there are some things about uptading the cs, cause if you have the 1.3, then got the light update to 1.4, then to 1.5, just updating with the lite version, i'm pretty sure you gonna have some freezings, so the best way is to download the full version of both, HL and CS, and make sure you got at least the HL installed correctly, oh there could have some problems if you got the english installed version, then trying to update with a german one
