Chrono Trigger for gameplay and FInal Fantasy for story. Reason for my choice is that Chrono Trigger left many questions un answered like, "Where is Schala?". Final Fantasy 3 (or 6) has a finished story line. (I voted FF3)

Chrono trigger hands down. FF6 is largely overrated.

CT, hands down, the first RPG i played all the way through, introduced me to the world of RPGs, and i can still play it seven years later!

I liked Chrono Triggers battle system, and the fact that they did away with randon battles. You could see your enemies and avoid (though you were forced to fight at times). FF6 battle system was similar to the rest of the series although I must admit i wasnt too fond of the Espers. CT's characters were better as was there gameplay & graphics. FF6 had a superior plot and engaged you more in the game. All IMO of course

i actually liked the esper system in ff6, although i like the "hacked" version of ff6 better where they change some things in it to have it make more sense... someone wrote about it in another thread somewhere here...

Chrono Trigger because it's so unique. Even it's poorly concieved sequel didn't have the most of the innavative features that CT had.
