Erhh, I don't quite understand? You're playing FFX on what platform? And I remember that FFX is only played on PS2, right?

yes, FFX and MGS2 require a Playstation 2 system and a compatible television.

MGS2 will be on PC. Anyone got info on its potential requirements?

AFA FFX is concerned, PC port is not likely to happen. Shaz, if you want to play MGS2, RAW and GTA3; you better go for a hardware update instead of just asking here for requirements, okay? A p4 1.5GHz with a Geforce 3Ti400 will be your best bet

Well I dont think even the developers of Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance know what the system requirements will be, it's too early for that sort of thing.

So he's asking if

*** HYPOTHETICALLY ***

If FFX was ported to PC what kind of requirements might it have.

PC-wise, FFX is no match for the last generation of CPU's and GPU's. I doubt a P4 or AMD TBred (or less) with a video card in the GeForce3 range would have much trouble with it. At least not in 640x480. Alot of FFX's beauty is masked by art and graphics "tricks" to make it look busier than it actually is.

However, the chance of FFX being ported to anything is zero. Get a PS2 or do not play FFX. Done.

Well I really want to see what kind of system is required to play PS2 ports. Like, look at GTA3. One of the simlper games on PS2 graphics wise. I wonder what MGS2 and Silent Hill2 will require.

I think GTAIII was a bad port, because so many people have had trouble with it.
