Dreamcast and best games

I don't have a lot of money (not enough for ps2, xbox, or gamecube) so I'm looking into buying a used dreamcast. Is this a good idea? If so what games should I buy? I was thinking of getting sonic adventure and marvel vs. capcom 2. Any thoughts?

well... don't do it... I'm a fan of Sega, the Dreamcast was an excelent console but... better save up some money and buy a GC the games for the DC are almost extinct and you will have a hard time getting them...

so do I (specially import games) but he said he doesn't have lot of money and the best games for the DC are quite expensive because they are limited quantities and they are found most likely at import stores (wich sells normal games and import games)... check the following link

Nintendo GC is now offering Sega's taste. Kaiser is a Sega fanboy. It figures.

Back to the original question. Eh, Cap'n brefore I state my opinion, I would like to get a hint about your taste of games and your budget.

DC is actually cheaper than GBA... system is less... and so are most games, those which are not uncommon.

After reading his post again, I believe that he has already made his mind to get a DC and he's asking for a few games.

Deccoy stated some nice games, I'll add a few more:

Shenmue2
DOA2
Crazy Taxi
Virtua Tennis
Sega Extreme sports
Jet Grind Radio
Headhunter
4x4 Evo.

Give me a hint of your taste first

I say go for the DC. I have a DC and buckets of games. I pick them up all the time. They are becoming very very cheap and also cheaper 2nd hand.
At first I was sceptical about a DC as the PS2 had been anounced but after getting it I can honestly say it was moeny very well spent. It has so many great games. My personal favourites are Jet Grind Radio, RE2, RE:CV, Virtua Tennis and Sega Tennis 2K2, Crazy Taxi 1&2, Bomberman Online, MGS via Bleemcast all the Marvel,Capcom and SNK fighters. I could go on and on as i have so many games i love for it.
If your into gaming and not just into pretty gfx get a DC

Why DC doesn't have pretty graphics? if you think so then you're wrong.

Dreamcast has pretty good graphics, just not XBOX quality. slimjim is right, and the games are getting cheaper all the time.

look at the faces in the shenmue passport disc, in the tutorial, they even look bump mapped, as well in SA2 some of the ground textures look bumpmapped. I think that the dc has an extremely powerful gpu, and if games were still mad sega would be easily out of debt.
