Question Gta3 question

If i were to run in low detail at low res and bitrate, would i be able to run gta3 good enough to be playable? my full specs are:

k6-2 500@600
xtasy geforce4 mx 420 pci, 64mb
160mb pc-100 sdr
win98se
aureal au8820 audio
via mvp4 motherboard

all tweaked to the max. the reson i ask is because i had the game from a friend before, when i only had an 8mb gfx card, now i have a 64mb mid-range card, and the screenshots are SOOOOOOOOOOO tempting.

I think you'd be able to run it fine. From what I've noticed, it seems to be much more GFX card dependant than processor dependant. Cause I played on my system which has very good processor speed and RAM but a semi-crappy vid card - Athlon XP 1500+ @ 1.5 ghz, 512 MB DDR RAM, GeForce256 32MB - and it was pretty choppy even in lower resolutions and bitrates, with no FSAA enabled...
Where in contrast on my roommates computer - which is an Athlon Duron 900mHz, with 256 MB RAM, but a GeForce3 Ti500, it ran smoothly and beautifully in higher bitrate, resolution, and with 4xFSAA enabled

I'm not sure it'll run smoothly. The minimum cpu requirement for GTA3 is an Atlon or PIII.

I'm sure it should run good.

I ran GTA3 just fine with a celeron 600 and a Geforce3 Ti200. My video card is a little better, but not much.
