Hi Everybody, I have beat the game a lot of times but only once i could open a secret room which is exactly next to Mermans Rom. In this rom i get the Jewell Sword, but now i´m not able to open it, do you know how to do it???? If you need a screenshot of place i´ll post it later

Yeah, that's a weird room to open... you have to break holes in both sides of the rock formation and then go through once in the wolf form and then back through it as the bat form. This will work in both the regular and the upside-down castle.

It's not fun just to have the best weapons... the fun in SOTN is to find all the fun and silly weapons like the jewel sword, chakra, fist of tulkas (you can do hadokens!), blue knuckle, masaune, etc... Anyway, the best "weapon" in the game is something that most people who've beaten the game have already. Use the Shield Rod Magic with the Alucard Shield equipped (hit both right and left hand attacks at the same time) and just keep your shield out and walk into the enemies. You'll hit really fast (as fast as the crissaegrim), each hit takes off about 255, and also heals you 8 for each hit.

Hirox, good luck, you'll need it. I say this because Castlevania SOTN has been discontinued for some time now and is rare and quite hard to find. It was a $19.95 (US dollars) Greatest Hits title for a while, but even that has been discontinued. I would check used video game stores, various sites on the net, and even E-Bay (only as a last resort) if you really want it. Nameless, do as Phoenix suggests and check those threads. One of them (the first one) is mine. But, just to whet your appitite a bit, here is a more current on taken w/the Omega drivers. It is of Richter Belmont. I like the challenge of playing him. sincerely, sx/amiga |

Here's another screenshot of regular gameplay. No boss fight. This is Alucard, the main character of the game. SxAmiga's shot is of Richter, who you can unlock after playing through the game and beating Dracula and then starting a new game entering "Richter" as your name.

OH! Really beautiful shot! You know, I had a little mistake... I thought Chronicles and SOTN were the same game, so I played Chronicles and thought: 'oh my! the SNES versions are better!' so i desisted to play that game... Now I see how wrong I was... Does the character move faster than in its predecessors? I hated moving SO slowly...

Alucard rocks. is it true that in addition to the normal magic tricks of the belmonts he can morph into bats and wolves?
