Question FF7 Help

In FF7, i am on disc 1 after Rocket Town where you are riding the shallow seas on the busted tiny bronco. I know that at this point you are supposed receive an item from a man in a hut on the western island that will allow you to proceed, but i cannot locate this man! Can anyone help me? Thx.

Shouldn't you be in Disc 2?

After you get the tiny bronco, go to the southeast of Gongaga. You will find a cottage and a blacksmith in there. He will tell you about your next destination. In addition, here is the place where you can get Aeris' level 4 limit break after completing a condition.

You have Yuffie, right? Now you can go to her hometown of Wutai and something will happen....

Edit: Don't be a spoiler to this FF7 gamer.
