Contra Shatterd Soldiers (PS2)

Konami of America has released some new screenshots of Contra: Shattered Soldiers for the PlayStation 2. This remake of the original pre-PS One games introduces a new female characters, Lucia, and revives one of the classic soldiers, Bill, who is held responsible for the destruction of nearly all of the world's population. The game will play remarkably like the original games, in that it only takes a single shot to kill your character, and you'll have the ability of cycling between a trio of weapons.

I copy somethings from sites others might not know of and furthermore I'll be very selective with what I post. I will not post all gamerelated info here because quite frankly it's way to much but I'll make a selection of things which are interesting and which people might want to know.

And if you think i ripped this of Gamespot ,you're wrong, I just needed a picture of it so people can see what kind of game it is if they don't know what it is in the first place.

yeah i read about this about a month ago..(that a new contra was coming) and i was so excited. i loved the old games on nes and snes. hope this new installment is just as good.

As a absolute Contra fan I have to say the idea for a 3D Contra isn't bad but they really have to work on it because quite frankly I ain't to satisfied with the current state of the new Contra.

I remember the good old 2D Contra on the SNES , it was really a good game , but you had to play it on the highest level for it to really be a challenge. I hope Konami brushes up the new version (GFX way I mean) and I hope they raise the bar in the challenges as well.

contra legacy of war wasnt so good anyway...I dont know the other PS contra...
the absolute number one is IMO contra: the hard corps (contra 4, probotector the hard corps) on Megadrive/Genesis. That game 0wned...and it still does.

Looks like Contra SS lived up to epectations. It scored 8 outta 10.
