what got you hooked?

what game, weather it be a RPG or anything, got you hooked in this great gaming world we live and breath in?

for me it was mario for the nes. also the arcade hit "space invaders" that game was so addicting.

FF7. The game that taught me that there better things to play than mindless shooting or dumbass sports.

FFVII got me involved with RPGs. And it also showed me that there were games on systems other than Nintendo.

I remember the first game I played on NES was Contra, it got me hooked to gaming. The first game that I played on PC was Prince of Persia.

Heheh, I still have Contra. My first PC game was FFVII. I have both the PS version and the PC version of FFVII and FFVIII. Kinda weird.

Ironically, it was Rockman (Megaman). I say ironically because you never see me talk about it here, yet it was THE game that got me hooked into video games 15 years ago.

What got me hooked was Mario for NES. It was my aunts, she watched me when I was little. After a little while I got an Atari 2600, I had Montezumas Revenge, I played that game for hours at a time. What ot me into RPGs was Super Mario RPG. I LOVE That Game.

Wow, this goes back a long time. The game that first got me hooked on video games was VIC-Invaders (a very good Space Invaders Clone) for the Commodore VIC-20, my first computer, back in 1982. I also had another game, on tape no less, that was a Pac-Man type clone. Ah, those were the days.
sincerely,
sx/amiga

Donkey Kong got me wanting to go back to play it more and a year later on Christmas of 1989, I got a NES, my very first OWN console system. The really first console system I played was either the ColecoVision and/or Atari2600 where that's when I first played Pac Man.

for me was an old Commodore 64 fighting game. It only had 2 choices for characters and the only difference between the two were what the color of the character was.
