grand theft auto 3 pc

K i have this problem, and well i didn't no where to post it...so here it is

I just bought Grand theft auto 3 for pc and its awsome cept 1 thing, i'm gettin crap for fps....for some reason my fps won't go above 25, and i don't see why it should do this i got a decent system and all, i've turned off vsync and everything, turn all low settings and it still won't go above 25fps (cept in the menu screen it shoots up to like 835fps.....)any1 have this problem, and get there game workin good? any help would be greatly appreciated....

there's a patch that changes textures to 16 bit, and removes some useless things, search for gta3 performance patch on google.

does the blur automatically come on when u drop the resolution below 1024x768. Cuz for some reason it does that on my system and it looks so ugly that i keep the resolution at 1024 even though my system crawls at some point just to avoid that ugly blur. is there a way to switch that off?

i found that gta3 in 16bit looks really bad. i tried it, and the colors just went...bad.

My gfx is cranked to the max, and I'm using voodoo5 5500. ^_^* Try the patch, should help.

i have gta3 for pc and what diffrences dose it have from the ps2 version for instance i heard you cant by whores on the pc and there is a lot less gore in it is this true

I can get hookers as well as shoot limbs and heads off using a high-powered rifle like the M16.

no there is much more gore than before. I'm talkin limb dismemberment and stuff. Blood everywhere. And I've successfully picked up two whores at the same time.
