RE2 & 3 for GC

I just brought a GC[not dvd compatible, too expensive man!] and was wondering will the RE 2 and 3 titles ported to gc be the same as the psx one or be diffrent like RE1 on the gc?

Yes you could check this article and I'm afraid that these ports will be exactly as the ports for DC, PC and PS2(RECVX) that's sad for every RE fan. At least I was expecting a completely new character designs and watching RE2 and RE3 graphicaly the same as RE for the Game Cube.

I read somewhere (IGN perhaps) that Capcom won't even add a single polygon in either of these REs. Hence it'll also retail for around 19$. Still there is no word on Code Veronica.

Playstation and Xbox will "hit the fan" but not Playstation2.

Nintendo going to win the war? Define solid bases, which prove this statement true.

Well, I would call an extension to the 5 year lifespan of a console a pretty big plus. I mean, in Sony's case the PS2 is already being overshadowed by the PS3.

Sometimes you just have to ask yourself when enough is enough. The graphics ability on the GameCube is good enough to be perfectly playable with a solid framerate, and any story in 2D or 3D can be properly told with any kind of story or FMV. As time goes on, developers become familiar with the hardware, and better games can be made. Why is it that developers should have to all of a sudden go back to the drawing board just for the sake of the almighty graphics? I think that enough's enough.

But back on topic, RE 2 and RE 3 for GameCube are not improved over the N64 or PSX counterparts, other than the standard filtering done by the GameCube, but they will be released with a much lower price. Basically you can get them both for the cost of one regular GameCube game.

Surely PS3 is in the making but that doesn't at all mean that its going to be released tomorrow.

The development on the PS2 was started in 1997, and the PS2 was released in 2000. Development on the PS3 has started, even they may have created a PS3, but mass production is what counts and which is impossible at this moment, and it has no chance of being released before 2005, even 2005 may be early for PS3.

The PS2 is hot and running and the hardware defects have almost been eradicated with the new version PS2s and the software speak for themselves. PS2 has enough of quality games, both on the shelf and in the making.

Sometimes I just get pissed off just because of these "Nintendo Hero's" biased statements.

Hell no, not another fanboy arguement. I think we all should just conclude this war with a draw.

I don't think that Code Veronica will be imroved either. We will mostly likely get the PS2 version, as the graphics are still respectable. Capcom just upgraded the first one because the graphics and dialogue in the game were just sad.

Syed, I am sorry for my comments, it's just that it bothers me when people start asking if they should wait for the PS3. It hasn't happened recently, but it bothers me that Sony has already announced it. It was only done as a marketting ploy to try to steal M$' and Nintendo's thunder, and that is just wrong. It hurts the entire market, not just those two.

Yeah. When I heard about the PS3 for the first time (within a week of my purchase of PS2) I was shocked. So set myself on a quest to find out exactly what's going on. Here is what I found of a the PS3:

That doesnt look like a console...I dont think sony would design it to look like the PS2 anyway. I mean the name, colour, disc tray and looks...
And what are the clips beside for, anyway ? To clip the PS3 under a table, providing a more advanced space-saving feature other than standing?

Im not sure as well. But now that you mention it, It looks like one of the old consoles I used to play with my cousins when I was really young...Its probably modified by someone. Remember the PrayStation3 that contains the Internet and comes with a Prug-In-Modship ?
Another thread gone off topic, ahh.
Well just to bring it somewhat back on topic, are you guys sure that it will be a direct port? I mean the textures and colours used in the 2 games are really bad, and could be easily improved.
