GTA3 1.1 Patch

GTA3 patch 1.1
The long awaited patch for GF3 is now here. What's fixed?

Exception error after blue Rockstar load screen fixed.
Error loading saved games fixed.
Mouse sensitivity now saved with other settings (no changes made to existing settings).
Option for user to play audio files directly from hard disk. Copy the contents of the PLAY discs Audio directory into your installed Grand Theft Auto III Audio directory. Grand Theft Auto III still requires the presence of the PLAY disc when started. This may give better performance on some machines (though worse on others).
All protection checks (apart from needing PLAY disc to start) removed. Grand Theft Auto III still checks for the presence of the PLAY disc when initially started, and plays audio from the PLAY disc if not found on the hard disk (see above).

This patch really doesn't do much for me. The slowdown is still there, and so are the lags. Nothing's improve and nothing's really been fixed. I would think that Rockstar would at least remove that useless replay function, for it's the number factor contributing to most of the speed problems.

Lord Kane: Actually I didn't post it on any emu forum... It was posted on the "news" forum just like some other pieces of news that I posted yesterday

I know, but if you look at the sticky at the top of the news forum, you'll see that its' for emu news. We allow driver and tweak releases in there too tho, but game patches don't belong there.

This patch can't even be called a path. It's just about useless. The only real problem with GTA3 (well, for most people) is the fact that the game is slow, this patch doesn't help any of those problems.

Turning off AA helps a lot.

It looks better than the PS2 version anyway. Especially when you change the mags on all the cars

It's antialiasing. It makes 3d look smoother. Antialiasing is only available on VooDoo5, ATI Radeon, and NVidia GeForce cards.
