Are you speaking about the first one on N64 (Ocarina) or about the very first one(on snes IIRC )?

I have both games (roms AND cartdrige,ZELDA fan here ^^).
Ocarina Of Time kills Majora's Mask without even starting the fight,it kills me to say that, but Majora's Mask isn't a great game.

As OOT was the first, is considered to be the best and is a classical, MM isn't that bad is different, the point is that as OOT went beyond, MM compared with it simply can't beat it. I do say OOT.

As people have already said, the time system just wasn't a good idea. Also, I've played a fair ammount of the game and just plain don't like it, the mask system is irritating, the whole fairy hunting thing... and the graphics.. I dunno, but i thought OoT did a better job.

Zelda:MM just didn't go off well with me.

I liked Ocarina of Time better. Not to say that Majora's Mask wasn't good (it was), but it just couldn't hope to compare with Ocarina of Time. The story just wasn't up to par. The gameplay was great though. (I actually liked the timed game idea)

I felt the same way, it kinda rushed you into playing the game and never gave you time to do thing like just admiring the scenery. I used to love just riding around on the horse in OoT. Stopping and watching the sunset then getting off and smashing a few baddies and riding off again. The magic was lost in MM, you never reallygot to "play" the game you were made to follow the actual game and unable to wonder around a bit and explore.
