How do you play?

When you play a RPG are you a perfectionnist, a lazy guy with shark codes, a normal player, a technical one.....?

I'm usually just a normal player but sometimes when I have the time, I try to get everything in the game.

Re: How do you play?

Perfectionist, I always read several guides before I purchase the game. Then I just play it with whatever common sense I have as a gamer and try to remember what I read in the guides. ^-^ So I plan in advance basicially ^-^

I usually get into the game. I become a part of it. And usually lose awareness of my surroundings.

I'm all 3 over time. Complete it once, possibly with cheats, to try and get to the end, while just enjoying the story. I will then go back and play the game to death, getting all the secrets.

I play for the story too, but don't get secrets except if it's a precision about the story

Are you saying that you don't play a game more than once or you don't play mutiple games at the same time?

That only happens to me if the game is really good. I can remember 2 games when that happened to me. They were Chrono Trigger and FF 7. They were both great games.

The longest I have played a game without stopping was 8 hours. I didn't even go to the washroom. I didn't even have to go either for the whole 8 hours! I had to stop because I got tired for staring at a TV screen for 8 hours.

I have played FF IX through about 5 times, and other games I have also played 2/3 times.
I often play a couple of RPGs at the same time too, but I feel I end up getting less from each game that way.

Also, I get confused about what I was doing in each game.

Yeah. That was the reason I started playing Xenogears from the beginning again. I went on to play a couple of games after I got it, and forgot what I was doing
