Not a bad deal... if it's still working, that is.

Nice! I remember being very excited when I found a copy of Mario RPG for sale at a video store for $12. (It was still being sold in stores for $89)

You should count yourself lucky. FF 3 for $5 is a real steal. FF 3 is still regarded, by many, as the best of the FF series. I have it for SNES and PSX as well. I enjoy it on both.
sincerely,
sx/amiga

The best deal I've gotten was Killer Instinct for $5 in a garage sale while it was $40 retail.

i got ff8 in poland for pc (back when it was new) for about the equivalent of 20 of my dollars... not bad considering it was being sold for about 70-80 in stores...

oh btw, i agree that ff3 (ff6) is the best of the final fantasies, i got ff chronicles about half a year ago so i'll be playing it soon once im done with all the work i have

I remember back when I could pick up Atari games for $.50 a piece at garage sales.
I own both FF3 for SNES and FF Anthology for PSX and love em equally

I was quite happy once when I found a copy of the summoner on PC for £5 when it was being sold on PS2 for £40.

Skye, I also agree w/you and Strider. When I said that many consider FF 3 the best of the FFs, I was including myself. As far as I'm concerned FF 3/ FF 6 is the best FF.
sincerely,
sx/amiga

sometimes graphics dont have to matter that much when the game has a wicked story, good characters, awesome music, and many other countless excellent qualities of ff3

I agree that's why I still buy PS1 games even though I have a PS2, It's surprising how many people simply refuse to buy a old but great game just because it's not as new as other games.
