A little bit of help with Morrowind, Please.

What i would like to know is this, how do you switch from First Person view (like in Doom) to Third Person view (like in Dungeon Siege)? The box says that you can and from the screen shots i have seen, it seems that you can. I just can't find out how from the manual. Could someone who has played this game and done this please help? I would greatly appriecate it. Thanks.
sincerely,

i believe you can do this by pressing the Tab button. Btw some of the screenshots (particularly the ones where you see the front of the character) are taken when the camera rotates around the character after a period of inactivity... but pressing tab will toggle 1st/3rd person in most games, including this one.

sincerely,
Strider

Thanks Strider, as I said, I really appriecate it. I looked all over the manual and I couldn't find that. Of course I was pretty tired when I did so, so maybe I just missed it. Thanks again, now I am really going to enjoy this game.

Well, I followed your advice Strider and now i can see my character. The only thing I don't like is that I can only see him from the back. Does anyone know if there is a way to switch the view of the character to the front? I know that I am probably asking to much here, but i was just wondering. BTW my character is a male Orc Warrior. From the back he looks pretty cool, but i sure would like to see him from the front.

Thanks for the info GameMakerJon. I'll try that when I get home tonight. Do you know if I view him from the front and leave it that way, will my view of him then remain looking at him from the front? Even while playing? I hope so.

well in order for it to stay in front you have to continue to hold tab. If you want to be able to move about you will have to use your strafe buttons as turn buttons instead.

Neojag, have you heard of Dugeon Siege? Morrowind is like Dugeon Siege only with better graphics. It is an RPG, but you are not locked into following the storyline. You can go where ever you want and do what ever you want. Everything can be picked up and used and you can view your character from either the first person (like Doom) or the third person (like Dungeon Siege). The characters are very realistic and the speech is excellent. I would seriously consider getting this game if I you were you and if it is available where you live. I will take some screens and post them in screenshots and there also some excellent ones there posted by Adair. I suggest you check them out. You can also find out more about this game at www.elderscrolls.com
