baldurs gate q! *possible spoilers*

i hate asking for help while playing games, but i can't get into the damn city (baldurs gate). I just flooded the mines belonging the the Iron Throne and i'm on Chapter 5 and the journal says that i just have to go to baldurs gate now...why isn't it an option on my map!!! is there some super dificult, incredibly subtle task that i've missed out on? i'm tired of wandering all over the north coast to no avail....

help.....thanx.

Been a while since I played this, but I think you need to go as far North as possible, you should get to an area with a bridge, when you cross the bridge there is a scene with some soldiers, then you can enter the city.

Also, make sure you have the patch installed.

that is what i didn't like about the first..having to travel to each map to get somewhere...but bioware removed that in bg2.

bg2 is alot better in that aspect i just hate the neverending quests that pile up on you

that's what i thought, but the road on that map is so misleading. it goes north, but u can't get to baldurs gate from it. I had to go west and found that farm with all the Ankhegs (hate those things). That was the last place on the map that i discovered and it was the place i needed to get to Baldurs.

I like them because it is possible to kill them before yous should and get good xp and money.

but if they get u with poison, it's a quick death. sometimes i can't even get someone over to the victim in time to stop the poison. If they didn't fight so cheap they would be much easier...asides from the fact that 6+ of them can popup at the same time. That's a horrible ambush...
