Exclamation A few probs with grandia 2 pc

How can I increase the volume of the in-game musics? For me, they play too low while the other sound effects are loud.

Also, the characters' shadow looks really wierd in my game, well, I'll try to grab some screenshots later on.

finished it some time ago, and i'd disable the shadows if i were you

AFAIK there is no way to increase only the music... footsteps are rather loud, yes, but its bearable

is there any gpu today which doesn't lag when those shadows are enabled? even my geforce 4 mx 440 lags when those are enabled. disabling them is another story

I know what you're talking about. The shadows seem to enclose the characters, right? The shadows were fine for the first time but afterwards they were really strange. I just turned them off.

My Gandia 2 for PC runs fine w/the shadows enabled. No lag and no slow downs. Also, I really don't see anything objectionable about the shadows. I just leave them on.

I've tried to play Grandia2 with TNT2 M64 and it seems fine.
Maybe you should try latest Detonator driver (even it is not optimised for TNT2 card).

Hehe, I had the same "cape-shaped shadow" problem too. I think you'll need to use a specific older driver. can't remember what though.

But you should turn it off instead using F5. You're not really missing anything big that way.

I'll stick with my GeForce 2 until at least the next Nvidia card comes out. Hopefully it'll have Glide support and better FSAA. Or maybe I'll get an ATI card. I'm tired of the low image quality of Nvidia cards.

Evil Squall:

I had this same problem, shadows displayed strangely. I found that the cause of this was the fact that I was running grandia 2 off of a disk image using daemon tools without safedisc emulation turned on (or visa versa, can't remember which), once i turned on/off the emulation the shadows worked fine. tested this a few times and always got the strange shadow effect. Maybe you're running with a similar setup?

if not then try the lastest drivers from your card manufactuer, then if those don't work try the lastest from your chipset manufactuer. also you might try tweaking the settings of your card, such as fsaa, vsync, etc. hope this helps.
