I hope so. Never heard anything about the transition, but I hope they'll make it for PC. But, I kinda dislike the new style. Baldur's Gate series seems more enjoyable with the old style.

that is becuase this bg was made by black isle not bioware like the pc ones...there is not tie between them excpet that name that black isle used to try a boost sales.

they are ment to be complex that is the one the best things about that game...there is nothing wrong with dark allinace it shouldn't have been named baldur's gate.

I agree with Delitia (believe it or not). Baldur's Gate and 2 were complex games, kind of meant to be sims. DA is more of an arcade game: instant gratification, and more than a little bit shallow... if you compare it to it's siblings.
