Unhappy Can't read the cd

I tried to install "Vampire - The masquerade: Redemption" today but the setup said it couldn't read from the disc. I've tried to make an iso from it but there were lots of unreadable sectors. The cd isn't scratched neither dirty and I'd like to know what should I do (besides crying).

Is it a copy? I've had problems like that when I played a copied cd.

No, it's original. It worked before... I think it's been almost 1 year since I last played it.

Did you have the CD in a hot place cause the CD can get screwed up it it's left in the heat.

Damn it! I think this could be the problem.... my computer desk is in front of the window and the morning sun is really intense here in Rio de Janeiro

...But the box was between lots of other cd boxes.... I think it was well protected tough

Then that must be the problem. That has happened to me as well with a few of my CDs. Also sometimes these bubbles started tp appear on my CD as well. And when I play it in my CD player (It's an audio cd) it wont play that part of the disc and its on a good song too. So, the only thing you could do now is try to find another copy of that game at some store.

I've also heard of this bacteria the eats away the inside of a cd. I dont know if it's real, but look out.
