I don't have the game, yet. But I have seen the box in stores and it looks quite good. Before I get it though, I think it will see about picking up Morrowind. You would probably be quite satisfied if you get Arcanum.
sincerely,

i have arcanum but i quit playing it for a while since my save got screwed up... the damn game keeps asking me if i wanna load... after i load! not to mention if i click the load button the game crashes on me. I got a little bored but i still think its a good game. The game was made by the same people who made the fallout series... and imo the game looks and plays well. The character creation and vast amount of quests are good aspects of the game but the thing i liked the most was the incredible music found in the game which sorta has a sad classical feel to it. I would post up some screens from it but unfortunately as ive said before it is no longer on my drive... but i can tell you that if you liked fallout you'll most likely like this game too.

sincerely,
Strider

PC Gamer gave it the RPG of the year (2001), so it must be quite good

Hey, this is truly a fab game. It's quite long as well. Good story, much freedom in customising ur charecter. Now if only they gave the other PC's (Playable Charecters) more personality....Like romances (BG2 ) or something, it would've been even more great
