Final Fantasy Remakes?

Has anyone heard about the Final Fantasy 7,8, and 9 remakes for the PS2. I'd love to see some FF7 out for PS2 with some voices and updated graphics sometime soon.
Thanks

No prob and welcome . The thread was started by me so search under that. It's a sad thing what the movie did to square. But maybe now they'll be more serious about releasing better products. What I'm afraid of is that they'll be two afraid to expirement

yeah... i think they are starting with something new though... i was reading in an earlier issue of EGM that they are making a Final Fantasy TV series and it will be released in japan soon, if not already. i've also heard it might be on one of the games.

i don't know, it might be Final Fantasy Unlimited, is FFU new? where'd you get it from? cause i'd love to see some of them. i do remember an old mini series of Final Fantasy, it was sort of following the story of FF5, kind of a few years later, it was allright, but it wasn't that exciting.

It's not following any of the game plots, that's for sure. It's still releasing eps. I think they are on 17 or there abouts

They aren't yet in English for me to buy them. They are fansubs, another legal grey area, and as such will say no more

Sorry to say Carnage, that it is true. Square has shelved plans for the FF PS2 remakes. No word is given as to when or if they'll be worked on again.
sincerely,

Yeah, i know their are no actual sequals, but hey, i can dream can't i, and i've also heard about something coming out following FFX, it may be a movie or an addon to the game, but i hear that it helps explain what happened to Tidus at the end, even though everyone has their own opinions, i've also heard it might link FFX and FFXI together??? but who knows

Linking FFX and FFXI is close to impossible since FFXI is online. And an addon for BS2 games wouldn't work...i doubt any of this unless square is realy low on money.
