Fighting pad for PS2
Anyone know of a good controller for PS2? I really REALLY hate the standard dual shock controller. The D-pad hurts your hand when playing.
What I'm looking for is a pad with a one piece, solid D-pad and 6 buttons on the right with a single L&R trigger. Analog and vibration would be nice too but not absolutely necessary. Anyone know of such a pad? If I could only use my MS sidewinder... then again no analog or vibration... argh there's never a 'complete' controller out there. |

You can try the one I got.. It's a ps2 gamepad..The storm chaser.. It's go a better dpad then the normal psx pad, 6 buttons on the right, 2 trigger buttons(same buttons as the left two face buttons), analog, vibration.. It works good and rumble hard..

Yikes I checked it out on Ebworld.com (forgot to check there before) and the reviews were all pretty bad. A few were all for it but the majority were bad. Just looking at it I can kinda sense that I will run into the same probs with the controller's D-pad. I've have a similar experience these people have had with a Mad Katz DC controller. Too bad... it looked so good on paper.
Any other suggestions? |

theres quite a few sticks out there but i havent heard much good about em. there are also some pads made specifically for fighters but most need to be imported, so sites like lik-sang.com would be your best bet.
heres one that kinda looks like the classic genesis pad: http://www.lik-sang.com/catalog/prod...ducts_id=1422&

I actually bought one of these for my DC amd returned it a week later. I don't know what it is but I just can't use the D-pad. I find quarter circles very difficult to do for some reason although EVERYONE seems to say it's the best out there. I dunno I may have to settle for the 4 button controllers like I did with my DC - I ended up buying 4 standard controllers for it despite many hours of searching.
The D-pad on this controller looks very good although again, this is a 4 button controller - http://www.levelsix.com/images/produ...DualShock2.jpg It seems no one wants 6 buttons on the face anymore. |

I personally think the Dual Shock 2 is the best controller ever made, but that's just my opinion. I can't stand controllers that don't fit into your hands as well as DS2.
