Dragon Warrior 7... any good?

As the subject says. Is this game any good. I was thinking about buying it, but I don't want to waste my money.

It was ok, but I would suggest that you rent it first unless you have played some of the other Dragon Warriors because it plays same.

I found it excellent. The game play is definately old school, the main world is gorgeous 3d, and the characters are 2d. It looks very nice and plays very nice on ePSXe. I think you might like it but perhaps, as delita suggested, you might want to rent it first, give it a try, and see what you think.
sincerely,

Perhaps it would be wise to play some of the others first. I have have played all the others so I'm sure I'll like it.

I've played all the others, and loved them. If it playes like the old school games, I definitely want to buy it.

astroduck, AFIK there was never anything mentioned about DQ/DW 8. The one that was supposed to be released in the US was DW 4 remix. But Enix decided not to do it. So, it would seem, there are no more DW versions slated for the PSX.
Laban, yes, it definately plays like "old school" games. It is a true Dragon Warrior through and through.
Exodus, yes, if I remember correctly, it has been a while since I played, things are run through the menu. Just like in the original DW for the Nintendo. But I think that you can go down stairs, open doors, and talk to people without using the menu.

AFAIK DQVIII will be made for PS2. And I've also heard it won't be coming out too soon.

Hmm

If you enjoy on screen Final Fantasy type battles then you may not like it...
but great old school play, nice 2D on 3D graphics (especially when enhanced)..100+ gaming hours, great puzzles, and good storyline....
