Stuck in a desert after full moon forest

After finishing the ehos workshop thing i have to go north to a ruin to get some parts for my Gear but. When exit the Village and go north and enter a desert i cant seem to find the exit

does anybody know why

Ok sorry just found out it you walked the other way you can exit

. but where do i go from here

Just keep on running in one direction, eventually you'll come across a scripted event
