Fav. non-RPG music? (consoles)

I was just wondering which non-rpg games people think have the best music. Oh yeah, for consoles - no PC stuff! Top 3. These are mine:

1. Castlevania SOTN
2. Street Fighter EX+Alpha
3. Blaster Master (yes the original NES one!)

Hmmm....consoles eh? I guess it doesn't also include arcade games huh?

Well......I'll say......either, Super Mario 3 (NES) or Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Genesis). Very tough choice really...

I've always thought the Mega Man X series had cool music. Of the PSX games in the series, I've only heard X5, and that one had some really cool guitar riffs. I'm betting that X4 and X6 have some cool tunes as well.

Yeah, the Megaman soundtrack was quite good. I think Capcom appear to be good at that. Look at how many people quoted a Capcom game ^_^

The Art of Fighting series (for SNES, Neo-Geo songs sucked!).

Capcom does make good soundtracks for their games! I just love the music in some CPS 2 games that use Q Sound. Not only do they have great songs but the quality it great as well! I know I'm not talking about console games but I just had to say that.

I thought KOF99 had an awesome CD soundtrack. Darkstalkers had a few tunes I really liked as well - Morrigan & Demitri come to mind.

Pretty much any Castlevania has very good songs (especially the vampire killer theme). Elemental Gearbolt has one of the best soundtracks period.

Tokimeki Memorial ANYTHING. The soundrack is what made me got interested in Tokimemo in the first place.

And I dare you to find another game with a discography as extensive as Tokimemo's

Ah, just remembered a series wich pleases me very much in terms of music: Final Fight for SNES. Both FF2 and FF3 have really good songs.
