FFX, Im a bit dissapointed..

Im almost done playing, just have to battle the final boss.. and a bit dissapointed with the game.. ohh well..

The Battles are quite boring .. all you have to do is bring the right character out and the monsters are done for, other than those biggies at the end of the game. The storyline is nice though

FF IX wasn't exactly what I was expecting either. The characters were super-deformed and bland, the battles were slow, and I didn't much like the abilities. The character classes could have used a bit more work. Zidane was way too powerful for a Thief, Amarant wasn't anything like a Monk, and they should have made Eiko a time mage or something, not another white mage/summoner. I also wanted to see the return of some of the old spells like Meteo and Ultima but that didn't happen. The story wasn't bad, but I got more thrills and chills playing FF VII than I did FF IX. As a hardcore, old-style FF player I was disappointed, and the cartoonish characters diappointed most of the PS fans who had been dazzled by the graphical splendor of FF VIII.

I was kinda disapointed in ff9, I have it and have still not played it. lol

I'll get around to it eventually..

okay, so i didn't know it was there..

Demigod: yeah, i also didn't have that 'can't stop playing even if i haven't slept for 3 days' kinda feel with FFX, i guess the last time i had that was with FFVII, been downhill from there to ff8 and ff9.. *sigh* .. hehe. That's why my is FFVII.

I definitely agree with that. Although I personally like FF9 more than FF8 - thought it had much better story and I actually kinda like the cartoonish graphics. I'm still undecided about whether FF6 of FF7 is my favorite though. FF6 was a gigantic game... with all those characters... but still had awesome plot, good character development, and the usual great music. FF7 had all that AND the fact that by jumping to the PS it had superior graphics and sound and was more of an immersive multimedia gaming experience - only thing is, it's not as big or as wide open as FF6 was.

If FF6 was actually re-MADE, not just ported (damn Anthology got my hopes up for nothin, just some movie clips) it would be hands down my favorite, but because of the huge difference, I'll still have to call it a draw between FF6 and FF7.

yeah, I love FF6 too, and even if it's not re-made i think its one of the best maybe even the best FF ever..

yeah, i have to put down ffx every once in a while and go do something else. but its not too bad when i take it up again. theres a few extras and theres these friggin dark aeons that wipe me out every time but it hasnt gotten me that down yet..

what do you mean by harder? I don't think is. And is the worst final fanatasy ever and yes I have ever single one. FFX was better than I thought would be then agian I thought it would a pile crap..but was a decent game. Could have some orignal ideas. Every thing for possible the sphere grind was a rip from some other game.

O well...even if ur dissaponited I would say a RPG game is all about the story. The Story is very nice...best outta all FF series I would say.

I was playing this at my friends house and was somewaht disapointed as well.

the game is *too* linear i think, it doesn't give you enuff choices at all like the *old* FF's ..

i found most of the PSX versions to be quite linear, at least compared to the ones on SNES.
